On the 26th of August 2008 the President of Taiyo Electric, Mr. Fujii Itaru, passed away at the age of 83 years old. Mr. Fujii was the president of Taiyo Electric from 1989 and was much respected and admired by past and present staff members. He will be sadly missed by all within the Taiyo organization.

Mr. Yoshio Kataoka, formerly the general manager, has now been appointed as the President of Taiyo Electric Ind. Co., Ltd., as of the 3rd of September 2008.
